It’s tough to give generalised answers to questions about measuring, because it’s not really a case of ‘one size fits all’. The best way to measure can depend on the material of your wall, whether your window has an architrave, and the individual look that you’re after, so best to get in touch.
When we receive your order, we pass it on to our factory. They get down to business manufacturing, and then we ship it off to you. We aim to have your Wonderlux products on your doorstep within 14 business days. The wait time for sample fabrics is slightly less.
To measure for your blinds, all you’ll need is a measuring tape. For installation, you’ll need a small handheld power drill, and potentially a ladder and someone to help you, depending on the height of your window.
A blockout fabric has an acrylic backing, which prevents light rays from being able to pass through the material. A light filter fabric does not have this backing and is woven slightly less tightly, meaning that some light is able to pass through. That’s why you get 0 visibility with a blockout fabric, while light filter fabric appears transparent.
You can quite easily hire a drill from Bunnings for just $30. Otherwise, for a small fee you could also hire someone on a website like airtasker.com to install the blinds for you.
